The
2009 GOTB campaign’s focus is to get as many boats out sailing & racing
as we possibly can. We are in a
unique situation with the Moore
24. We have a boat that is an
absolute blast to sail in any condition, a fleet that feels more like
family than racing foes, and an organization full of excitement and dedicated board
members. Push that energy outwards
to Moore
owners you don’t see out racing, boats that have sat too long on their
trailers or in the water, to anyone in your yacht clubs that aren’t out
having fun on the water!
So far the end of 2008 has seen #4
saved from a field in Oregon,
#78 getting the makeover we all envy, #86 is coming out of mothballs and
#34 is getting hauled out of its dry yard spot towards a full
recovery! What a great start to
build on!
Continue moving forward with this
momentum in 2009 – Do the Roadmaster’s, do your local races, make some big regatta’s; harass
other people into sailing their boats!
The Moore
24 fleets governing board works hard every year to make the regatta’s fun
both on and off the water, and they’ve done a great job! Keep supporting their efforts by not only
getting out racing but paying your dues.
